Grampians Community Transport

Connecting you to places, people and services.

Our centre

Grampians Community Transport supports people in our community to remain living at home while also being able to access the services and places they need.

Our volunteer-run transport service provides customers with door-to-door transport for safety and peace of mind. All volunteer drivers pass a federal police check and receive training and support from Uniting AgeWell.

Accessing our services

Our programs are available to people who:

  • are aged 65 years and over
  • are aged 50 years and are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • live in the Grampians region including Pyrenees Shire, Ararat and surrounding areas
  • are unable to drive or take public transport on their own
  • are ambulant and can enter and exit the vehicle with minimal assistance.

To access our services, you’ll need to be registered, assessed and referred by My Aged Care.

Transport is available on weekdays only and with 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability. There is a fee for each trip and carers may travel with the customer at no cost.
