Commonwealth Home Support Program

CHSP is a great option for those needing support with one or two aspects of living at home, either on a short-term or ongoing basis.  
 
You’ll pay a means-tested fee which may be government subsidised. Depending on your circumstances, you may need to make an additional contribution.    

You can choose from a range of services available through a CHSP including:

• Personal care including help with showering, dressing, mobility and meal preparation
• Clinical care including nursing, medication management and wound care
• Transport for shopping, medical appointments or social outings
• Domestic and personal support including help with household chores, gardening, and home maintenance or modifications
• Provision of assistive technology including remote monitoring systems, mobility aids and personal safety alarms
• Other services like respite care, social support, allied health and more. 

To receive CHSP services, a Federal Government assessment is required. You’ll then be contacted by an assessor who will work with you to understand the level of care that’s best for you.
