Bendigo Respite Services

We know just how important it is to care for those who care. Our respite and carer support options enable carers to take a break, rest and recharge, knowing the person they care for is in safe hands.

Our program

We offer a range of respite options to suit your needs and preferences, whether that’s at our centre or in the community.

We support you to take regular breaks from your caring responsibilities to help you stay on top of your personal, work or study commitments.

The program provides a stimulating environment for the person being cared for. They can meet and socialise with others through enjoyable activities that aim to maintain physical and emotional wellbeing.

Flexible social programs, including centre-based activities and community outings, are tailored to support individual needs with a focus on positive ageing.

Feel supported

Our respite house helps you balance caring with life’s other commitments.

Regular breaks can benefit both the carer and the person being cared for. You can choose from day respite or overnight weekend respite options.

Engaging activities

At Bendigo Respite Services, your loved one will be able to participate in recreational activities based on their needs and interests. Some of our typical activities include community outings including trips to local cafes and attractions, centre-based activities, special celebrations.

  • are aged 65 years and over
  • are aged 50 years and are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • have carers who require respite due to stress or ill health
  • are living with dementia, memory loss or other age-related challenges.

To access subsidised services, you’ll need to be registered, assessed and referred by My Aged Care. No referral is required for clients who are self-funded.
