Our registered nurses are onsite 24/7 to provide individualised clinical care and peace of mind. They are joined by our experienced infection control and enrolled nurses, personal carers, chaplain and Lifestyle and Hotel Services staff who help to provide quality care at every step.

We also provide restorative care options that may support your overall wellbeing and quality of life. This includes allied health services like podiatry, physiotherapy and speech therapy, as well as appointments with dietitians, social workers, dentists and doctors.

Manor Lakes Community promotes social inclusion for all residents, regardless of ability. By providing appropriate support, a diagnosis of dementia should not restrict a person’s independence or involvement in meaningful activities they enjoy.

Guided by the Uniting AgeWell Dementia Framework, we adopt a model of care to achieve the best possible care outcomes for people living with dementia, maximising quality of life through quality of care.

Extensive consultation with residents, families and carers about personal preferences and ideals helps us to develop tailored care and support.

All staff receive ongoing training in dementia care principles and the residence is a dementia-friendly environment, including the use of smart technology to enhance the independence and safety of residents.

We provide dignified and highly personalised palliative care, within a caring and supportive environment.

We aim to ensure the final stage of life is as pain free and emotionally supported as possible. Our holistic support encompasses physical, psychosocial and pastoral care according to the wishes and needs of each person and their family.

Uniting AgeWell’s palliative care staff are highly trained and work around the clock to ensure each person’s end of life experience is as close to their wishes and preferences as possible. Our chaplains are an important source of support and comfort for many people and their families through this time.

Operating seven days a week, our dynamic and vibrant lifestyle program provides a wide range of engaging and appropriate opportunities for residents to stay connected and keep active. This includes community outings such as trips to local cafes and attractions and in-house activities such as exercise, craft, entertainment and social gatherings.

Following the principles of the Montessori Method, the lifestyle program enables residents to maintain their independence, self-esteem and sense of purpose.

The spiritual care Uniting AgeWell offers is broad in nature. It includes religious care based in religious traditions and secular care. It respects personal choice and creates space for individual expressions of spirituality in a way that is most meaningful for you.

With an onsite chaplain, chapel and inclusive programs, you can freely express your spirituality, however that looks for you.

The chaplain will connect with you to explore how we can most effectively help meet your spiritual needs. Church services are held in the home’s chapel and may be led by the chaplain or local spiritual leaders from various faith traditions.

At the heart of our Spirituality Framework is a very intentional focus to put spiritual needs on an equal footing with physical, mental and social needs.

To get started, you will require an Aged Care Assessment. Our team can help you organise this.
    
Once you have completed your Aged Care Assessment, you will receive a referral through myagedcare.gov.au. Our team will then reach out to you to make your first appointment.

The Government provides up to 63 days of subsidised care per financial year. This includes both planned and emergency residential respite care. This can be extended by 21 days at a time if approved by your assessor.
