After the age of 65, one in three people will have a fall each year. Most are preventable.

Muscle strength and balance decline faster than most people expect, but both can be improved.

Join a free talk and hands-on balance class at a community hub near you.

Each workshop includes:

  • 20-minute falls prevention talk
  • A tour of the hub
  • 20-minute sample balance exercise class

Places are limited to 8 per workshop.

No referral is needed to attend the free workshops

About the workshops

Each workshop runs for one hour with our Allied Health team; physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, occupational therapists, podiatrists and nurses.

Groups are small and informal, with plenty of time to ask questions. Wear comfortable clothing and flat, closed-toe shoes.

The physios are very good here. They guide us through all the exercises. If we do something wrong, they come in and tell us to do it the proper way — why it's done, what for.
