Hawthorn AgeWell Centre is located in the heart of Hawthorn with inviting communal spaces to host our social connections programs.

The AgeWell Gym is specifically designed for older people with one-on-one and group exercise classes available.

The purpose-built Men’s Shed offers a space to connect with others and bring your creative visions to life.

Join a vibrant community at Hawthorn AgeWell Centre, including a calendar of community events.

Enjoy our on-site veggie garden and sunlit outdoor spaces.

Our friendly team are there facilitate programs and support your mental and physical wellbeing.

Features

AgeWell Gym

Our fully-equipped gym is specifically designed for older people, whether you want to work out on your own or with the support of one of our allied health professionals.

Men’s Shed

Our purpose-built Men’s Shed provides people with the space to connect with others, learn new skills and work on passion projects, all while championing mateship and mental health.

Visiting us

Anyone is welcome to join our Social Connections program.

Subsidies and greater clinical care may be available for people who:

  • are aged 65 years and over
  • are aged 50 years and are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • have carers who require respite
  • live alone and are assessed as being at risk of social isolation or depression
  • have an assessed health concern that requires rehabilitation or restorative assistance.

To access subsidised services, you’ll need to be registered, assessed and referred by My Aged Care. No referral is required for clients who are self-funded.
