International Women’s Day on 8 March provides pause to recognise the impact that women in our Uniting AgeWell family are continuing to make.

This year we are focusing on a volunteer and clients, and a few staff members honoured with awards and scholarships who each in their own way are ambassadors for Uniting AgeWell’s commitment to inclusion and gender equality.

The theme this year is Balance the Scales – a promise that every woman and girl, regardless of background or identity, should be safe, heard and free to shape their own lives. Equality is not about advantage for some; it’s about dignity, safety and fairness for all.

While the success and impact of our day-to-day work relies on all our people thriving, on International Women’s Day we celebrate women’s journeys and the impact they each make through their contributions to our United AgeWell family.
