Super heroes, inspirational stories and great advice

The winter 2020 edition of Community Chat is out now.

Meet Uniting AgeWell’s super-heroes who this year have continued to care for clients in their homes through extreme heat, the horror bushfires, poor air quality, floods and now the pandemic!

Their amazing work is outlined in our latest edition of Community Chat, a bi-annual newsletter for clients and those wanting to know more about living independently at home and happenings within Uniting AgeWell and the broader community, especially during COVID-19.

This bumper edition also contains sage (and very welcome) advice about eating well – that includes cake - and keeping connected with family and friends during iso.

There’s advice from our mental health experts on accepting it’s okay not to be okay during these weird times, and practical tips on how to get through.

And physio and exercise routines are also taken care of. Read how we’re assisting clients like Pam to recover from a knee injury during the pandemic.

There are also inspirational stories about a 109-year-old who is powering through her second pandemic and an octogenarian who has enrolled in ballet classes.
