Say #ThanksforCaring
In honour of Aged Care Employee Day we'd like you to get to know our team.
Our people are nurses and personal care workers, home care workers and care advisors, allied health professionals including physiotherapists and exercise physiologists. And there's lifestyle staff and chaplains who facilitate emotional and spiritual well-being.
We also pay tribute to all the teams who pull together to get things done. The cleaners, chefs, kitchen staff, maintenance teams and contractors and those in admin. Some you'll see, and some you won't but together they all make a huge difference. Each and every one of them.
Learn what makes them proud to be an aged care worker, what led them to build their career in aged care and appreciate the tireless endeavour of those committed to keeping older Australians safe and well supported and connected to those they hold dear.
COVID-19 continues to challenge everyone, and every day we see their care and commitment to protecting the health and wellbeing of some of Australia’s most vulnerable shining through.
We invite you to acknowledge their contribution and say #ThanksforCaring, in the form below.
A message of thanks

Thank you for the love and support you give to those within our care; for the care and commitment you bring; and for the dignity and respect you show.
We are proud of the care and support you, and aged care employees across Australia, deliver each and every day. Thank you for going above and beyond to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all during these unprecedented times.
To our nurses, our carers, our allied health staff, our lifestyle staff, our chaplains, our hotel services staff, our administration staff, our infrastructure staff and our corporate teams – we say thank you for being the magic that makes the Uniting AgeWell family so special.
On Aged Care Employee Day 2022 we say Thanks for Caring.

A note of appreciation for Sarah at Box Hill Community. Sarah works as the receptionist and always greets relatives and visitors with a compassionate and enthusiastic approach. This was greatly appreciated when my father transitioned into permanent care. She understands the stress of a family member entering aged care , with all the administration paper work involved as well as the emotional decision.
Thank you Sarah for all dedication and enthusiasm.
- Karen
A big thank you to all the carers out there. My recently deceased Pop would thank everyone of you wherever you work for your tireless efforts.
- Dean
On behalf of the family of Dot, we'd like to say thanks to Claire and the staff at Uniting AgeWell Aldersgate Village for taking good care of our precious mum and gran. It's great to see her out in the lounge area now she has recovered from a series of illnesses. We appreciate all that you do! Thank you!
- Holly
